I spent the last few years in operations and business management in the oil and gas measurement industry. I built teams, managed operations, led growth initiatives, and built an automation division from the ground up. That experience taught me how to think about problems from both a business and technical perspective.
Growing in the automation world naturally led me to development. Over the past two years, I've been intentionally building my coding and web development skills. I completed freeCodeCamp certifications in JavaScript and HTML/CSS, and learned React. I've shipped production WordPress websites and custom built internal tools. I have applied my problem-solving skills from oil and gas automation to my development work.
Now I'm channeling that operations and business mindset into development. I think about user needs, metrics, and product impact—not just writing code. I'm looking for a front-end or web development role where I can build things that matter and own the outcome.
